Hiup App ("we") runs an automated assistant for @hiupapp. When you comment a keyword on one of our reels, the assistant replies to your comment and sends you a private message with the link you asked for. This page explains what data that involves.
What we collect
When you comment a keyword on one of our reels, or tap a button in the chat that follows, Instagram tells us, and we store:
- your Instagram-scoped user ID and public username
- the text of your comment and which reel it was on
- whether you follow our account (checked only when you tap a button, for links that are for followers)
- the time you commented, the time each message was sent, the time you tapped a button and the time you opened a link
- if you write to us in the chat: the fact that you wrote and when. We do not keep the text of your messages.
We do not collect your email address, phone number, password, payment details or any private Instagram data, and we do not read your other conversations.
Why we use it
- to reply to your comment and send you the link you asked for
- to avoid sending you the same message twice
- to count how many people commented, tapped and opened a link, so we can see what works
Automated messages
The replies you receive are sent by software, not by a person. You can stop at any time by not commenting again, and you can delete the chat in Instagram.
Who else sees your data
Messages travel through Instagram, which is run by Meta. Meta's own policy applies to what happens on Instagram: privacycenter.instagram.com/policy. Our assistant runs on Cloudflare's servers. We do not sell your data and we do not share it with advertisers.
How long we keep it
Your name, ID and comment are removed from our records after 180 days. We keep only anonymous totals (for example "120 people commented").
Your choices
You can ask us to delete your data at any time. The quickest way is to send the message delete my data to @hiupapp on Instagram. Full instructions are on the data deletion page. You can also write to marketing@hiupapp.com.
